You Can Sail on a Tall Ship! Should you experience a problem with purchasing tickets online to Pepsi Tall Ships Chicago 2010, tickets are available for walk-up purchase at all Navy Pier Tall Ships tickets booths, for all event dates through Sunday, August 29. Tall Ship Windy, Chicago's own Tall Ship and four other visiting vessels will be setting sail from Navy Pier for 60-minute or 90-minute Sail-away excursions on Lake Michigan throughout their stay, August 25 – 29, 2010. Tickets start at $44 and include a Festival Admission/Dockside Viewing Ticket AND a Dockside Boarding ticket. Note that all passengers, including infants and children under 2, must have a paid ticket to sail. Sail-away ships will be located along Dock Street (south side of Navy Pier). They can accommodate individuals and groups and several ships can sail at one time for extra large groups. Book early as Sail-aways are popular. Ships will be assigned based on group size and time of sail, unless a particular ship is requested. Weather notes: Ships sail rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, it is the discretion of the Captain on whether it is safe to sail. All sail-aways will be rescheduled based on availability. Any sail-aways that cannot be accommodated during the festival will be rescheduled on Tall Ship Windy after the festival.
