tall ships chicago 2010 Great Lakes United Water Shed Circle - Help the Planet by Going Green

When the international fleet of Tall Ships arrives in Chicago, it will have sailed the largest surface area of fresh water in the world — the Great Lakes. We use the Great Lakes for our drinking water, to prepare our food, to take showers and baths, to water our lawns and to fill our swimming pools.

Great Lakes United TALL SHIPS CHALLENGE® 2010 carries a message of conserving and protecting the waters that the ships, sailors and 40 million people depend upon.

Today, there is a lot of emphasis placed on "going green" and ways in which we can care for our natural resources and reduce our carbon footprint. These Tall Ships are one of the most sustainable forms of transportation.

Come learn ways in which we can help ensure a vibrant future for both the Great Lakes and the planet!
