Hours August 24 (Ticket sales start at Noon. Festival Grounds entertainment from 1:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.) 
Parade of SailBegins at 4:00 p.m. Tall ships gather near Northerly Island, parade north past Navy Pier to near North Avenue Beach, then return and dock at Navy Pier. Opening Ceremonies at Navy Pier's East End Plaza: 5:00 p.m., as the ships make their approach. Parade of Sail will be the backdrop during the ceremony. Festival Admission/Dockside Viewing Tickets required for best viewing location along East End Plaza of Navy Pier. Additional viewing available along Navy Pier’s Dock Street (some views may be obstructed). Parade of Sail Map. Tall Ship Viewing View all 20 tall ships once the Parade of Sail concludes. Festival Grounds open until 9:00 p.m. Fireworks 9:00 p.m.
