About Navy Pier, Inc.

Navy Pier, Inc. (NPI) is a 501 (c)(3) not-for-profit corporation established in 2011 to maintain Navy Pier as a historic public landmark and oversee its redevelopment.

NPI’s Mission
NPI’s primary function is to further Navy Pier’s mission to be a world-class public place that celebrates and showcases the vitality of Chicago and provides for the enjoyment of Chicago-area residents and visitors year-round. Navy Pier will forever be an eclectic mix of public, cultural, educational, recreational, retail, dining, entertainment and other compatible uses attracting a broad range of visitors and managed within a business framework that provides for its long-term financial sustainability.

NPI governs and manages Navy Pier under the leadership of a board of directors comprised of civic leaders dedicated to seeing it through the many stages of redevelopment.

NPI is committed to being an environmentally-friendly facility through the practice of better energy efficiency, waste reduction and resource conservation at Navy Pier. We strive to incorporate the latest technologies and processes that make it convenient and cost-effective for all of our visitors, tenant companies and customers to help sustain and protect our environment.

About the Board

Navy Pier, Inc.’s Board of Directors represents leadership of civically focused business leaders who have demonstrated clear commitment to public service as well as proven management skills and experience.

NPI’s Board meets on a regular basis to conduct the corporation’s business and holds an Annual Meeting which is open to the public each January. The dates of all future meetings will be published as scheduling is confirmed.
